Kukatpally seeks new primary health centre

HYDERABAD: Residents of KPHB Colony in Kukatpally constituency are facing difficulties due to the presence of only one government primary health centre in the area. The centre caters to the entire KPHB locality, drawing large crowds daily.
Children wait hours for Wednesday vaccinations
The facility was set up after an old pump house was vacated and converted into a health centre. Doctors currently provide services there, including vaccinations for pregnant women and children. Vaccination drives for children are held every Wednesday morning. With only one primary health centre for the entire KPHB area, parents bring their children here for immunisation, often waiting for hours in queues while carrying infants.
Damaged walls, lack of space inside facility
The centre has only one room, leaving no space even to store medicines. Plaster has peeled off the upper walls inside the building, raising concerns over safety and hygiene. Parents have urged authorities to construct a new primary health centre to meet the needs of the growing population.
