KTR vs Revanth: Hitler Remark Sparks Political Firestorm in Telangana
HYDERABAD: K. T. Rama Rao, Working President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, on Saturday attacked Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He reacted to Revanth Reddy’s remarks at The Hindu Conclave in Bengaluru. KTR said the comments showed an authoritarian mindset.
KTR objected to the Chief Minister’s reported comparison of HYDRAA’s work with Adolf Hitler. He said the remark exposed the “ideological base” of the Congress government’s style of rule.
‘Hitler inspiration remark shows mindset’
KTR said the statement reflects a deeper political approach. He also linked HYDRAA to a force-driven style of governance. HYDRAA, he said, relies on force and demolitions.
“Hitler is clearly Revanth Reddy’s inspiration,” KTR said. He added that HYDRAA reflects a system built on intimidation and demolitions. He also said people in Telangana have already seen such trends.
Questions to Congress leadership
KTR also questioned the Congress high command. He asked whether it supports such statements from a Chief Minister.
He said, “Does the Congress leadership approve of this? Is it acceptable to invoke Hitler in a democracy?”
Ideological contrast with past rule
KTR compared the current government with the previous BRS regime. He said the earlier government followed constitutional values and democratic principles.
“Our ideals are Dr B.R. Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi and Professor Jayashankar, not Hitler,” he said. He added that the previous regime governed within constitutional limits.
‘People will reject authoritarian rule’
KTR further alleged that the Congress government uses coercion and demolitions. He warned that voters would reject such an approach.
“Telangana will reject dictatorship,” he said. He added that governments must solve problems, not target homes.
