HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao expressed happiness over the development of India’s first indigenous expendable turbojet engine in the 350 kg thrust class, involving the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Hyderabad-based Azad Engineering.

KTR, in a post on X, described the achievement as a milestone for Hyderabad and India.

He said the development would significantly strengthen India’s indigenous propulsion capabilities and self-reliance in the defence sector.

KTR said the engine was also a reflection of the progress made by Hyderabad’s aerospace and precision engineering sectors.

He said the achievement would give a boost to Atmanirbhar Bharat.

KTR said Hyderabad’s reputation as a global aerospace hub had received a further boost with the achievement.
