Southern states account for 24% of Lok Sabha representation
Responding to a question on delimitation, KTR said southern states currently account for 24% of the representation in the Lok Sabha.
“If there is an overall increase in the number of Lok Sabha seats proportionately, then we will have no problem supporting the delimitation bill,” he said.
KTR says AI concerns mirror past technology transitions
Responding to questions on artificial intelligence (AI) and technological changes, KTR said concerns had been raised during every major technological transition.
“Every change in technology was questioned, same as AI. We need to adopt it and move on,” he said.
During his lecture, KTR spoke about Telangana’s development journey and the initiatives undertaken during the BRS government’s tenure in irrigation, drinking water, agriculture and power.
Referring to the Kaleshwaram project, he described it as an engineering response to the historic challenge of taking Godavari water to drought-prone regions of Telangana.
KTR said paddy production in Telangana had increased from about 44.4 lakh tonnes in 2014-15 to 168.8 lakh tonnes in 2023-24.
He also outlined the State’s innovation ecosystem and explained the roles of institutions such as T-Hub, WE-Hub, T-Works and Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK).
