HYDERABAD: The Special Task Force (STF) seized 2.5 grams of MDMA during a raid in Hyderabad’s KPHB area and detained a 25-year-old man on suspicion of possessing the narcotic substance.

Raid follows tip-off on suspected drug activity

Acting on specific information about suspected drug transactions in the KPHB area, the STF D Team, led by Circle Inspector (CI) Nagaraju, conducted a raid with its personnel. During the operation, officials intercepted Kotha Yashwanth Kumar, 25, and allegedly found 2.5 grams of MDMA in his possession.

Case handed over for further investigation

Following the seizure, the STF team handed over the accused along with the recovered MDMA to the Kukatpally Excise police station for further legal action and investigation.

CI Nagaraju said the operation was part of the department’s ongoing drive against the illegal sale and possession of narcotic substances. Officials are investigating the source of the seized drugs and whether the accused has links to a larger drug distribution network.
