Konda Surekha seeks show-cause notice for Revanth Reddy
Telangana : If disciplinary action is to be taken and a show-cause notice issued, it should first be served on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, state minister Konda Surekha said.
Speaking during an informal interaction with reporters, Surekha said she had been issued a show-cause notice based on remarks made by her daughter. She said she had done nothing wrong and had no connection with her daughter’s comments.
Surekha said Revanth was crossing the party line by announcing candidates for the elections and stating that he would remain chief minister for 10 years. She said he should therefore be the first to receive a show-cause notice for allegedly acting against party discipline.
Surekha says she is not responsible for daughter’s comments
Surekha said the party should have sought an explanation from her daughter for the remarks rather than holding her responsible for them.
She also questioned the disciplinary action being initiated against her, saying that she had not violated the party line.
