HYDERABAD: The State government has approved ₹594 crore to expand five major road corridors in Khammam district. The upgrades will convert these roads into four-lane highways, improving connectivity between rural villages and urban centres.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka played a key role in securing the funds. Since the formation of the current government, he has prioritised Khammam’s development and focused on improving the district’s infrastructure.

The government will execute the projects under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), combining public funding with private sector participation. “These roads will boost transportation and spur economic growth in Khammam district,” Vikramarka said.

The expansion will mark a new chapter in the district’s transport system. Residents and businesses will benefit from reduced travel time and smoother movement of goods and people.
