Wedding invitation card with cyber fraud awareness tips by Khammam police constable

KHAMMAM: A head constable in Khammam has used his daughter’s wedding invitation to spread awareness on cyber crimes.

Bona Giri Nageswara Rao, posted at Khammam II Town police station, designed a special page in the invitation highlighting precautions against online fraud. The initiative reflects his effort to promote public awareness beyond official duties.

Wedding card carries cyber safety messages

The invitation includes a dedicated section titled “Awareness on cyber frauds is your protection”. It lists common risks and precautions in simple language for guests.

Tips warn against links, calls and public WiFi risks

The messages caution people against clicking suspicious links, chasing free gift offers, and responding to parcel or phone scam calls. It also advises monitoring bank account activity and being careful while using public WiFi.

Police officials said such initiatives help reach people directly and improve awareness on cyber threats.
