SIT questions KCR’s OSD in phone-tapping case

HYDERABAD: The Special Investigation Team intensified its probe into the phone-tapping case on Thursday and questioned Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao’s officer on special duty Rajashekhar Reddy.

Rajashekhar Reddy appeared before the Jubilee Hills police station on Thursday for questioning. SIT officials questioned him for nearly two hours and recorded his full statement.
SIT records statement for two hours
Sources said significant details emerged during the examination. Officials documented his version as part of the ongoing investigation.
Earlier statement by task force officer
According to investigators, the questioning follows the March 2023 statement given by accused officer Radhakishan Rao, who earlier served as deputy commissioner of police in the task force. His statement reportedly mentioned the then chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Probe into alleged interventions
Reports earlier indicated that Radhakishan Rao told investigators they worked to address matters involving KCR’s family members and close associates in the Bharat Rashtra Samithi. Based on those statements, the SIT questioned KCR’s OSD Rajashekhar Reddy.
