KCR says BRS will scrap HYDRAA if voted back to power

HYDERABAD: K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday said the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would abolish HYDRAA if it returns to power.
Addressing a public meeting in Jagityal, the former chief minister made the statement while welcoming senior politician Jeevan Reddy into the party.
Strong remarks against HYDRAA’s functioning
KCR used strong language to criticise HYDRAA, indicating that the agency would be the first to be scrapped if BRS forms the government again.
He said the party had taken a clear stand against the agency, signalling its removal as a priority decision.
Political significance of Jeevan Reddy’s entry
The meeting also marked the induction of Jeevan Reddy into BRS, seen as a key political development in the region.
KCR highlighted the importance of strengthening the party ahead of future electoral battles.
The remarks come amid ongoing political positioning in Telangana, with parties outlining their policy priorities and governance approaches.
