Kavitha Ghmc Allegations

HYDERABAD: Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Friday alleged that Members of Parliament (MPs) from Telangana were remaining silent out of fear of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing the media, Kavitha said BJP MPs were not speaking up on issues affecting the state. She alleged that their “mouth remains shut” despite repeated concerns raised by the people of Telangana.

BJP MP remarks criticised as disrespectful to Telangana

Kavitha criticised what she described as derogatory remarks made by a BJP MP against the people of Telangana. She said such comments reflected a lack of respect and accountability.

“The BJP MP’s mouth, which insults the people of Telangana, shows no sign of stopping,” she said, adding that elected representatives must act responsibly.

Delimitation may disadvantage southern states, she says

Kavitha also raised concerns over the proposed delimitation exercise, stating it could adversely affect southern states, including Telangana.

She said the process may result in a reduction of political representation for states that have effectively controlled population growth. “Delimitation will cause loss to South India,” she said.

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader urged political parties and MPs to take a clear stand on the issue and safeguard the interests of the region.
