HYDERABAD: BRS leader K Kavitha on Sunday criticised K T Rama Rao and T Harish Rao, saying both leaders “claim to be Krishna and Arjuna but are shooting arrows at each other” while the party struggles to counter anti-incumbency on the ground.

BRS leaders fighting on social media, not on ground

Kavitha said the Congress secured a majority in Telangana despite “strong anti-Congress sentiment” because BRS leaders focused more on online messaging than field mobilisation. “BRS is fighting wars on social media, not on the ground,” she said.

She also asked KTR to “leave social media and come onto the ground” and urged Harish Rao to “decide whether he is Krishna or Arjuna and play straightforward”.

My assets unchanged; look at growth of some ministers

Kavitha said her property assets remained the same before and after 2014. “You can check my property assets before 2014 and now. It’s the same,” she said.

She questioned the rise of certain BRS leaders. “Who are these Jagadish Reddy, Madan Reddy, Prashanth Reddy and Niranjan Reddy? What did they have then, and look at them now,” she said.

Independents approached me over Jubilee Hills bypoll

Kavitha claimed that 15 independent candidates approached her expressing a willingness to withdraw from the Jubilee Hills assembly bypoll. “I distanced myself from them. They went to Harish Rao, who should have taken their support but did not,” she said.

KCR’s return will change scene

Kavitha said the party’s founder K Chandrasekhar Rao would reassert control once he returned to active politics. “When KCR comes, the scene will change. But KTR and Harish are blindsiding him and encouraging leaders instead of karyakartas,” she said.
