Kalvakuntla Kavitha posts ‘Karma hits back’ after Jubilee Hills loss

HYDERABAD: The Jubilee Hills bypoll results triggered political ripples on November 14, with Kalvakuntla Kavitha posting a sharp message on X that immediately went viral.
“Karma hits back,” she wrote in English, in what political observers interpreted as a pointed response to the defeat of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi candidate in Jubilee Hills.
Kavitha, daughter of K Chandrashekar Rao and sister of KT Rama Rao, has been openly critical of the party leadership since her removal from the organisation. She has repeatedly said she was expelled “without any consideration”, despite being “a daughter to KCR and a sister to KTR”.

Kavitha’s message stirs political debate
Political circles said her post appeared to suggest that the “injustice done to her” had come back in the form of the Jubilee Hills verdict. Many leaders privately said her remarks were aimed more at Rama Rao than at Chandrashekar Rao.
Opposition targets BRS leadership
Opposition parties seized on the moment, saying the comments had aggravated the BRS leadership’s distress after losing a sitting seat. They added that Kavitha’s remarks had “rubbed salt on the wounds” of a party already reeling from a heavy defeat.
Several leaders said the episode showed how “the anger of a daughter of the household has returned to haunt the party”.
