HYDERABAD: Padi Kaushik Reddy on Tuesday said he was “deeply distressed” over the issuance of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) notices to him, his family members, and members of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), despite “no wrongdoing”.

Questions targeting of family members amid political criticism

He said the notices appeared to be an attempt to harass him and his associates for questioning the government. “Is it justified to threaten my family members and BRS colleagues just because I am questioning the government?” he said.

The MLA urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to act against him personally instead. “Target me, file cases against me, and issue notices to me. But troubling my family and BRS members is painful,” he added.

Vows to continue raising public issues despite pressure

Kaushik Reddy said he would not step back despite the pressure. “No matter how many difficulties or notices come, I will not retreat,” he said.

He added that he would continue to question the government until it fulfilled promises made to the people. “This is not a personal fight. It is my responsibility towards the public,” he said.

“Voices that question cannot be suppressed. My fight for the people will continue,” he added.
