Two killed in road accident on Karimnagar–Jagtial road

KARIMNAGAR: Two people were killed on the spot in a fatal road accident on the Karimnagar–Jagtial highway in Telangana on Tuesday. The mishap occurred in Gangadhara mandal when a speeding car hit a two-wheeler and later crashed into a roadside tree.
Police said both the car driver and the motorcyclist died on the spot due to the impact. The driver was identified as Mallayya, a resident of Kondannapalle village. The identity of the motorcyclist is yet to be ascertained, officers added.
Police reached the scene, shifted the bodies to the government hospital for post-mortem, and registered a case. An investigation is underway.
