Raidurgam police book case over ₹5 crore property grab
HYDERABAD: The Raidurgam police have registered a case on a complaint alleging that forged documents were created to take control of property worth ₹5 crore.
Business partner allegedly took control of restaurant
According to inspector Bhupathi, Kanti Dutt, a resident of Jubilee Hills, runs Italian restaurants under the Nomi Patisserie brand and South Indian restaurants under the Dakshinkatha brand.
In 2023, Soujanya Jupalli invested ₹1 crore in Dutt’s business and entered into an agreement for a 35% partnership, the complaint said.
Dutt subsequently set up a restaurant at Khajaguda. He spent ₹5 crore on the lease advance, interiors and machinery, according to the complaint.
Seven accused named in complaint
The complaint alleges that Soujanya Jupalli, Akshaynag, Sumanth, Deepika Raju, Sardar Naunihal Singh, Ramrudra and Sunitha jointly created forged documents without Dutt’s knowledge.
They allegedly took control of the restaurant and have been operating it under the name Cafe Plin, the complaint said.
When Dutt asked them to hand over the restaurant to him, they allegedly attacked him.
The Raidurgam police registered a case based on his complaint and are investigating.
