Kagaznagar crash kills four from one family

KAGAZNAGAR: Four women from a single family were killed in a road accident near the Maharashtra border on Saturday, police said.

Family returning from treatment

The victims belonged to Nizamuddin Colony in Kagaznagar, in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district. Auto driver Zakir’s family had travelled to Nagpur for medical treatment and was returning home when the accident occurred.

Car plunges off bridge

Police said the car lost control near a bridge close to Deva and fell off the structure, killing all four occupants on the spot.

Two injured critical

The deceased were identified as Sahar, Afgha Begum, Shabreen and Salma Begum. Two others were injured and are undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit, doctors said. Their condition is stated to be critical.

Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident.
