Kachiguda raid uncovers 60kg rotten meat
HYDERABAD: H-FAST officials seized 60kg of rotten meat during a surprise inspection at Kachiguda Kamela on Friday. The inspection followed information received by the Secunderabad Task Force police that rotten meat was being illegally stored and sold there.
Task Force team conducts surprise inspection
Acting on the information, Task Force sub-inspector Mahesh and constable Vinay reached the Kamela and conducted checks. During the inspection, they found 60kg of rotten meat kept ready for sale and seized it.
Officials poured phenyl over the seized meat to render it unfit for consumption and prevent anyone from using it.
Case booked against owner over meat storage
Police said a case was booked against the owner, Akhil, for storing rotten meat in violation of regulations. A challan was also issued.
Police warned that action would continue against those selling food products that pose a risk to public health.
