Hyderabad sees Jyothi Buddha Prakash take Singareni charge

HYDERABAD: Dr Jyothi Buddha Prakash, a senior Indian Administrative Service officer, assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director of Singareni Collieries Company Limited on Thursday morning at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad.
Tadaboina Srinivas, General Manager (Coordination and Marketing), received him at Singareni Bhavan. He later took charge at the Chairman’s office.
Directors L V Suryanarayana (Operations), K Venkateswarlu (Projects and Planning), Gautham Potru (Personnel and Finance), and Executive Director (Coal Movement) B Venkanna presented bouquets and conveyed their greetings. The directors briefed him on the company’s operations.
Dr Prakash belongs to the 2002 batch of the Indian Administrative Service. He earlier served as Secretary of the Telangana Scheduled Castes Development Department. He also served as Secretary in the State Planning Department.
In the past, he held various positions in coal mining regions under Singareni. He worked as District Collector of Adilabad and as Project Officer of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency in Bhadrachalam.
His appointment as Chairman of Singareni has been welcomed by officials and employees.
