Jubilee Hills police book Tollywood producers over alleged land grab bid

Landdisputes

HYDERABAD: Jubilee Hills police have registered a case against Tollywood producers C Kalyan and Burugupalli Sivarama Krishna, along with others, over an alleged attempt to grab a disputed property in Jubilee Hills.

The case was registered following a complaint by businessman Kanthamaneni Ravi Shankar. He alleged that the accused illegally entered Plot No. 89 of the Women’s Co-operative Housing Society in Jubilee Hills.

According to the complaint, a court had issued an interim injunction on June 10 directing that Ravi Shankar’s possession of the land should not be disturbed until the ownership dispute is resolved.

Despite the court order, the complainant alleged that the accused broke open the locks, damaged the entrance gate, scattered materials on the premises, threatened staff and demolished a room constructed on the property.

Jubilee Hills police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the allegations.
