JNTU Hyderabad has rescheduled its exams to 5th September

Hyderabad : Heavy rains over the past two days have transformed many areas and roads in Hyderabad into waterlogged zones, creating a flood-like situation across the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has issued a red alert, forecasting extremely heavy rainfall. Low-lying areas have been submerged, and normal life has been severely affected. In the Mahabubabad district, a man and his daughter are feared to have been swept away by flash floods. The intense downpour has led to waterlogging and traffic congestion in several parts of the city, causing significant inconvenience to commuters and ongoing traffic disruptions.
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) has rescheduled the BTech and BPharmacy third-year exams, along with the MBA first-year exams, to September 5 due to heavy rains in Telangana. These exams were originally set to take place on 1st September. The university communicated this decision through an official letter addressed to the principals of all JNTUH-affiliated and university colleges (non-autonomous) offering UG/PG courses.

The official letter states, “It is informed that the BTech/BPharm and Master in Business Administration course university examinations scheduled for 02-09-2024 have been postponed due to heavy rains in Telangana State.”

– BTech III Year I Sem: R18, R16, R15, R13
– BPharm III Year I Sem: R17, R15, R13
– MBA I Year I Sem: R22, R19

Original Exam Date: 02-09-2024 FN (Monday)
Rescheduled Exam Date: 05-09-2024 (Thursday)
JNTUH is ranked 88th in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024, with a score of 45.78. The university is located on an 89-acre campus in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, and includes four constituent engineering colleges in Hyderabad, Kondagattu (Jagithyal), Manthani, and Sultanpur (Medak district), as well as 15 additional constituent units on the Hyderabad campus.
