JAGTIAL: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ramulu has disclosed key details in the murder case of YouTuber Vaishnavi in Jagtial district.
Dowry harassment cited as primary motive in murder case
Ramulu said Vaishnavi was killed by her husband Haribabu over dowry demands. The couple had entered into a love marriage 10 months ago, he added.
Due to alleged harassment from Haribabu’s parents over the absence of dowry, Vaishnavi’s family had already given ₹5 lakh and two guntas of land, the DSP said.
Husband and family accused of abetting the crime
Ramulu stated that Haribabu’s mother and brothers instigated him to commit the murder. Police took Haribabu into custody on Tuesday.
