Jagadgirigutta Sub Inspector In Cyberabad Caught Taking Rs. 15,000 Bribe

Hyderabad: K. Shankar, Sub-Inspector of Police at Jagadgirigutta Police Station under Cyberabad Commissionerate, was caught red-handed on May 24, 2025, by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while accepting a bribe of ₹15,000. The ACB’s City Range Unit-1 apprehended Shankar at 2:15 p.m. after he demanded the bribe from a complainant to release a seized vehicle and DJ system. The bribe was collected through a second accused, identified as Nagender, a resident of Jagadgirigutta.

The bribe amount was recovered from Nagender, and chemical tests confirmed traces on his left hand fingers. Both Shankar and Nagender have been arrested and will be presented before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases at Nampally, Hyderabad. The case is under investigation.
