Hyderabad’s Ismail Nagar residents struggle with bad roads, water shortage
Hyderabad: Residents of Ismail Nagar in Hyderabad are expressing significant distress over deteriorating road conditions, inadequate water supply, and uncollected garbage. This area falls under the jurisdiction of the Jalpally Municipality. Local residents are urgently calling on the authorities of Jalpally Municipality, Rangareddy Collector, and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to address these pressing issues and provide prompt solutions.
The situation was highlighted on the social media platform ‘X,’ previously known as Twitter, by Azher @azheralimohamed, who tweeted, “I am writing to request urgent repairs for the road in Ward No. 25, inside Markaz area. Speaking with the Hyderabad Mail, Azher, a resident of Ward No. 5 of Jalpally Municipality, shared his concerns. “Around six months ago, a water pipeline was installed in our area. Unfortunately, the road was not properly restored afterward. The entire street remains uneven, with patches of sand covering the surface, making it extremely difficult to drive. Sayeed Jabri Colony is also affected by the poor roads.”
He added, “The issues our area faces include poor road conditions, limited water supply coming only twice a week for just one and half hours, and widespread garbage accumulation. Despite posting about these issues multiple times on social media, there has been no response from the Jalpally Municipality, Rangareddy Collector, or any other tagged officials.”
Azher said that the road conditions, especially the one highlighted in his social media post, are a major concern. “Many people have had accidents and fallen due to the poor condition of the roads. Residents frequently experience discomfort and pain while riding their bikes in this area.” He also noted problems with potholes and inadequate water supply at the Iqbal store in Sayeed Jabari Colony.
Azher has urged the concerned authorities to address these issues urgently and restore the road to its original condition to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
