Traffic Diversions Announced For Ipl Match At Uppal On April 12, 2025

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Police have announced traffic diversions in the Uppal area on April 12, 2025, due to the IPL-2025 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings. The match, scheduled to be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, will begin at 19:30 hours and is expected to cause significant traffic congestion in the surrounding areas.

To manage the situation and ensure smooth traffic flow, the police have imposed restrictions on the movement of heavy vehicles, including lorries, dumpers, earth movers, water tankers, and other types of trucks. These diversions will be in effect from 16:00 hours to 23:50 hours on the day of the match.

The affected routes for heavy vehicles include Chengicherla, Boduppal, and Peerzadiguda traffic, which will be diverted towards Uppal. Additionally, traffic coming from LB Nagar to Nagole and Tarnaka will also face diversions towards Uppal. Similarly, traffic from Ramanthapur to Uppal will be redirected.

Diversion points for the affected routes have been set up at key locations, including opposite the Toyota Showroom on HMDA Bhaghyath Road, under the Nagole Metro Station U-turn, at Habsiguda X Road, and at Street No. 8.

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes to avoid congestion. The suggested routes include HMDA Bhaghyath Layout to Nagole, Nagole Metro Station to HMDA Layout, Boduppal, Chengicherla X Road, and towards Nacharam via IOCL Cherlapally. Other alternative routes include Street No. 8, Habsiguda, and Metro Pillar 972 U-turn, leading to Uppal X Road.

The Rachakonda Traffic Police have requested the public to plan their travel in advance and follow the diversions to minimize disruption. The cooperation of citizens is essential to ensure the smooth conduct of the match and ease traffic flow in the area.
