Two mobile phones and one SIM card were also confiscated as part of the operation. A small weighing machine, adhesive tape, and ₹23,00,000 in cash were seized, further confirming the scale of the illegal trade.
Details of the Operation
Mahesh developed a connection with Samsuddin, a drug peddler from Chainpura, Rajasthan, and purchased 200 grams of heroin from him for ₹1,00,000. He made the payment via the PhonePe platform.
On January 10, 2025, Mahesh arrived in Hyderabad by train and stayed at Mahipal’s residence in Neredmet. Together, they decided to sell the heroin at a higher price. To distribute the drugs, they used ride-hailing services like Porter, Rapido, and Uber to deliver parcels to various customers.
Since his arrival in the city, Mahesh had been distributing heroin to multiple individuals, including PK Gotem @ Prakash, Suresh @ Manish Bishnoi, and Vinod @ Sopu Bishnoi. Mahesh and his associates also sent heroin parcels to Mukesh Kumar and Prakash Bishnoi based on orders from a customer named Bajarang.
To avoid detection, Mahesh and his associates used ride-hailing services to deliver the drugs to locations far from their original address. Payments were received via Mahesh’s PhonePe scanner.
The operation was successfully intercepted by the proactive efforts of the SOT LB Nagar Zone and Neredmet Police, which led to the arrest of the two peddlers. Investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend the remaining individuals involved in the network, including the primary supplier from Rajasthan.
