Intermediate student ends life at his hostel room in Bachupally
Bachupally: An intermediate student studying at a private college in Bachupally, Nizampet, was found dead in his hostel room on November 14, 2024.
The deceased has been identified as 17-year-old Jaswanth Goud, a native of Kamareddy district. The 17-year-old had taken his own life by hanging himself from a ceiling fan.
According to police reports, Jaswanth’s classmates noticed his disfigured appearance in the morning and alerted college authorities. Subsequent investigations revealed a suicide note left by the deceased, stating an inability to pay college fees as the reason for his extreme step.
The incident has sparked outrage among students and their families, with several student organizations staging a protest in front of the college. Police intervened to disperse the gathering.
A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
