nfluencer Harsha Faces Legal charges

Hyderabad: Influencer Harsha is facing multiple legal charges following videos depicting reckless behavior, including throwing money onto roads, rash driving, and causing public nuisance in the Kukatpally and KPHB areas.

The Kukatpally police have registered a case against Harsha, charging him with reckless driving, causing a public nuisance, and wrongful restraint. Disturbed by his dangerous stunts, the traffic police complained to the Sanatnagar police station, leading to the registration of an additional case.

In further escalating his legal issues, Cyberabad police have registered a separate case against Harsha in the KPHB area.

Amid these developments, influencer Harsha has appealed to the media to highlight his charitable efforts rather than focusing on his controversial money-related stunts.

The official handle of the Telangana police took to X (formerly Twitter) to issue a warning to the youth. The post read: “The youth are becoming a danger to society and are facing jail time. Stunts on bikes, spilling money on the road, and reckless behavior for reels and videos will not be ignored. Stringent laws are enforced, and jail terms are imposed.”

It was earlier reported that the Instagram influencer was identified as @its_me_power_, known for creating bizarre content to gain online fame, and Harsha has been filmed throwing money onto busy roads in Hyderabad, drawing crowds, and performing stunts on a two-wheeler without a helmet.

The incident was initially highlighted by Sheshasai, a Hyderabad resident, on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Sheshasai expressed frustration at the influencer’s actions and tagged several authorities, including the Hyderabad City Police, Telangana DGP, Rachakonda Commissionerate, Cyberabad Police, and Hyderabad Traffic Police.

In a post, Sheshasai wrote, “While you remain silent all the time, influencers like this are creating a nuisance by throwing money/notes on public roads. Why don’t you act on these people? Your silence is encouraging them more.”

With 377,000 Instagram followers, Harsha’s content frequently involves throwing money onto roads, leading to traffic disruptions and safety hazards. In an old video, Harsha defiantly stated, “I will throw, and I will continue to throw the money in the coming days. What will you do?”
