IndiGo cancels 69 flights at Hyderabad airport amid operational crisis

HYDERABAD: A total of 69 IndiGo flights were cancelled at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Saturday, as the airline’s ongoing operational crisis triggered large-scale disruptions for passengers.
Airport officials said 26 incoming flights to Hyderabad and 43 departures scheduled for various destinations were cancelled, leaving many travellers stranded.
IndiGo’s chief executive, Pieter Elbers, told staff that restoring normal operations and punctuality would not be an “easy target”. The airline has informed authorities that corrective measures are underway and that full operational stability is expected only by February 10, 2026.
A statement from the airline said more cancellations may occur in the coming days. To minimise disruptions, IndiGo will reduce flight operations from December 8.
