Hyderabad: Income Tax officials have launched simultaneous raids at the residences and offices of film producer and Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC) Chairman Dil Raju across multiple locations in Hyderabad. The raids began early on Tuesday morning, January 21, 2025, at eight sites in the city.

Sources say the searches are being conducted at properties linked to Dil Raju, including those belonging to his brother Sirish and daughter Hansitha Reddy. The operation is taking place in prominent areas such as Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills.

A total of 55 teams of Income Tax officials are involved in the ongoing operation. Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for the searches or any findings so far. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.

Dil Raju, also known as V. Venkata Ramana, is a popular film producer with businesses in film production, distribution, and real estate. He was recently appointed Telangana Film Federation Development Corporation (TFFDC) Chairman.

His latest films include Game Changer (2025), a political action movie starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani that was released on January 10, 2025. Despite high expectations, the film received mixed reviews and did poorly at the box office.

Another recent release, Sankranthiki Vasthunam (2025), which came out during Sankranthi, was a big hit and became one of Sri Venkateswara Creations’ highest-grossing films.
