IMD predicts dry weather for Telangana today, showers expected in coming days

Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather forecast for Telangana, predicting dry conditions for today, April 29, 2025, with light to moderate rains expected in parts of the state over the next two days.
As of 5:30 a.m. today, a surface circulation has formed near North Madhya Pradesh and extends over Vidarbha, Marathwada, interior Karnataka, and South Tamil Nadu, about 0.9 km above sea level. This development follows the shifting of a North-South trough that previously extended from Western Vidarbha to Northern Kerala.
Today, Telangana is expected to experience dry weather. However, the forecast for tomorrow and the day after includes a chance of localized thunderstorms, particularly in some districts, with winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 km/h. Hyderabad and other parts of the state may also experience isolated thunderstorms.
Temperatures across Telangana are expected to remain near average for this time of year. According to Telangana Weatherman, the maximum temperature today will range from 40°C to 43°C in many areas, with Hyderabad reaching around 39°C to 41°C.
The Weatherman also warned of scattered storms in Eastern Telangana during the late evening to midnight hours, with only isolated storms expected elsewhere, including in Hyderabad city.
