IMD forecasts thunderstorms across Telangana for seven days
HYDERABAD: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers over Telangana during the next seven days, with weather warnings in force for parts of the state.
The latest IMD Hyderabad forecast indicates light to moderate rain or thundershowers at isolated places over Telangana, along with strong surface winds in parts of the state.
Scattered rain likely from July 16 to 19
Weather enthusiast T Balaji, who runs the Telangana Weatherman handle on X, said scattered rain was expected in the state from July 16 to 19.
“Scattered rains ahead in Telangana during July 16–19,” he said.
He added that July 14 was expected to remain mostly dry across Telangana, with intense heat continuing in the state, including Hyderabad.
Cloudy skies forecast for Hyderabad through July 18
The weather department has forecast cloudy skies in Hyderabad until July 18, with light rain expected on July 16 and 17.
Temperatures remained high across Telangana. Nalgonda recorded the state’s highest maximum temperature of 38.9 degrees Celsius on July 13, while Charminar recorded Hyderabad’s highest maximum temperature of 37.4 degrees Celsius.
Residents should monitor official weather updates and plan travel according to local conditions.
