Traffic curbs at IIIT Junction for one year from April 8

HYDERABAD: Traffic restrictions will be in force at IIIT Junction from April 8, 2026, due to ongoing multi-level flyover and underpass construction works. The measures are expected to continue for about one year, the Cyberabad police said.
The advisory aims to ensure smooth traffic movement across key stretches falling under the Cyberabad Commissionerate limits.
Key routes affected during peak hours daily
Traffic diversions will be implemented between 08.00 and 21.00 IST at major junctions, including Gachibowli, Lingampally and surrounding IT corridors.
Vehicles moving from Gachibowli Junction towards Lingampally will be diverted at IIIT Junction via Wipro Junction, Gowlidoddi, Gopanpally Junction and Nallagandla.
Traffic from Financial District, Gopanpally Thanda, Gowlidoddi and Q-City towards IIIT Junction will be rerouted at Wipro Junction towards Nanakramguda Rotary-2 and then merged into the Outer Ring Road towards Gachibowli.
Vehicles travelling from Lingampally, HCU and Masjidbanda towards Gachibowli will be diverted at SMR/HCU Bus Depot Junction via Sriramnagar, Botanical Junction and ZPHS Gachibowli before rejoining the main road.
Police warn of congestion; urge early planning
Authorities said congestion is likely around IIIT Junction throughout the construction period. Regular commuters, especially IT employees, have been advised to plan travel in advance and use alternate routes.
The Cyberabad Commissioner of Police urged the public to cooperate with traffic personnel to ensure smooth vehicular flow.
