Hyderabad’s ICGTPF 4.0 conference champions climate Tech and policy

Hyderabad hosted the 4th International Conference on Green Technology, Policy and Finance, where global leaders and experts outlined actionable pathways for sustainable growth

HYDERABAD: The K L N Prasad Auditorium at FTCCI became the epicentre of global climate discourse on Friday as the 4th International Conference on Green Technology, Policy and Finance (ICGTPF 4.0) convened. Organized by the Chandradeep Solar Research Institute (CDSRI) with support from the Telangana Academy for Skill & Knowledge (TASK) and the IEEE Hyderabad Section, the conference brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators to chart actionable pathways towards a sustainable future.

The Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Varma, opened the conference as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he confirmed Telangana’s commitment to speeding up green growth and supporting clean technologies. He called on countries to work together on climate action and praised the conference’s focus on new solutions and on working with other countries, saying these efforts help make India a leader in the world’s green economy.

The summit, themed “International Green Trade Summit – Driving Sustainable Technologies & Investments,” featured several dignitaries, including Gareth Wynn Owen, British Deputy High Commissioner (Telangana & Andhra Pradesh), and Dr. Madhuchandrika Chattopadhyay, Organizing Secretary of ICGTPF 4.0.Icgtpf 4.01

The agenda included a high-level inaugural session, two panel discussions on “Mission 1.5°C” and “Carbon Credits & Climate Economy,” and keynote addresses on decentralized battery energy systems and hydrogen-based cooking innovations. International experts, technology pioneers, academics, and industry leaders contributed throughout the event.

A key moment of ICGTPF 4.0 was the “M. S. Swaminathan Green Excellence Awards” ceremony, which honoured great leadership and new work in sustainability. This year’s winners included well-known businesspeople from India and other countries. The head of Nava Ratna Enterprise, NLC India Limited (NLCIL), was recognized for outstanding work in green innovation, clean energy advancement, and climate stewardship.

ICGTPF 4.0 concluded with a reinforced commitment to turning discussion into decisive action for a climate-resilient world.
