Hyderabad sets ICET, EDCET application schedules
HYDERABAD:Â The Telangana State Council of Higher Education has finalised the application schedules for ICET and EDCET.
ICET schedule finalised
Applications for the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) will open on February 12, officials said after a committee meeting held at the council office on Wednesday. The notification will be issued on February 6, and applications without late fee can be submitted till March 16. The examination is scheduled for June 13 and 14.
ICET is conducted for admissions into MBA and MCA courses. This year too, the exam will be organised by Mahatma Gandhi University. The committee also decided to increase the number of examination centres for ICET.
EDCET applications from February 23
Applications for the Education Common Entrance Test (EDCET) will be accepted from February 23, following the issue of the notification on February 20. The last date to apply without late fee is April 18.
EDCET is conducted for admissions into BEd courses and will be organised by Kakatiya University this year.
The meetings were chaired by Telangana State Council of Higher Education chairman Balakista Reddy and attended by Mahatma Gandhi University Vice-Chancellor Altaf Hussain, Kakatiya University Vice-Chancellor Pratap Reddy, ICET convenor Aluvala Ravi, EDCET convenor B Venkatarami Reddy, council members Itikala Purushottam and S K Mahmood, secretary Sriram Venkatesh, and others.
