According to the complainants, a few individuals have formed a group called Ameenpur Pedda Pond’s Flood Victims – JAC and are allegedly collecting Rs. 1,000 as a membership fee. The members were also demanding Rs. 500 per square yard from the affected owners of the submerged land.

The Commissioner revealed that a committee will be formed drawing members from JNTU, IIT colleges, and other experts to confirm the FTL and the entire process is expected to be completed within two to three months. He assured the public that the FTL determination process for the lake will be conducted transparently and without errors.
