HyDRA fencing park land at Indus Valley–2 layout in Ameenpur village

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has secured park land in Indus Valley–2 layout at Ameenpur village in Sangareddy district, following a decade-long dispute.

The layout was developed in 2005 by Apex Properties across 2.27 acres in Survey Nos. 1019 and 1020 (part). The project comprised 24 plots, with land ownership shared between the original landowner and Apex Developers. As part of the approved layout, 672 square yards was earmarked as park land.

In 2013, the original landowner executed a gift deed transferring the park land to a relative, triggering a dispute. Residents of Indus Valley–2 approached HYDRAA, seeking protection of the earmarked open space.

HYDRAA conducted a field-level inquiry with officials from the revenue and municipal departments. After confirming that the land was designated as a park in the approved layout, HYDRAA removed encroachments and installed fencing around the 672-square-yard area. Official HYDRAA signboards were also erected.

Representatives of Indus Valley–2 said residents had been fighting for protection of the park land for over a decade and thanked HYDRAA for its intervention. They said the land was valued at around ₹5 crore.
