HYDRA officials reclaim park land in Meerpet, Rangareddy district

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has reclaimed and safeguarded a 2,100 square yards park site in Nandi Hills Colony under Meerpet Municipality, Rangareddy district, officials said on February 4.

The land, earmarked for public use, had been partially encroached upon after some political leaders allegedly allotted “by numbers” and created fake layouts, residents told HYDRAA during Prajavani.

Acting on the complaint, HYDRAA officials conducted a field inspection and verified records, confirming the encroachments. The agency immediately initiated action and took full possession of the park land, securing it for public purposes.

Local residents welcomed the move and said HYDRAA was playing a key role in protecting lands reserved for public amenities, including parks and open spaces, from encroachment.
