HYDRAA recovers ₹3,000 crore government land in Miyapur

HYDERABAD: HYDRAA on Saturday carried out a major operation in Miyapur, reclaiming government land valued at over ₹3,000 crore in Rangareddy district.
Operation in Survey No. 44 restores over 15 acres
The action was taken in Maktha Mahbubpet village of Serilingampally mandal, where HYDRAA removed encroachments and secured more than 15 acres of government land in Survey No. 44. The agency said it had earlier received a complaint through its public grievance system that government land in the same survey number was being encroached upon.
Earlier action, fresh inquiry ordered
Acting on the directions of HYDRAA Commissioner A V Ranganath, the agency had previously taken possession of five acres in the area. It had also removed 18 temporary sheds spread over about 200 metres on a lake bund running parallel to the Miyapur–Bachupally main road.
Fake documents, illegal registrations flagged
HYDRAA said it reopened the inquiry in the wake of reports on illegal registrations linked to the government land in Survey No. 44 and news relating to the suspension of the concerned sub-registrar. The probe found attempts to grab 43 acres of government land using forged documents.
A case has already been registered against a person identified as Imran for allegedly encroaching up to 1.5 acres of government land in Survey No. 44 using land documents of Survey No. 159. The reclaimed land has been fenced, and boards have been installed declaring it as government property.
