HYDRAA recovers ₹111 crore government land in Ranga Reddy

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has reclaimed government land valued at over ₹111 crore in Ranga Reddy district. The recovery includes 1.28 acres of state land and a 976-square-yard park in Rajendranagar and Balapur mandals.
Officials act on residents’ complaint over fake documents
Officials said that in Shastripuram Colony of Mailardevpally village, the municipal authorities had earlier fenced the park area. Following complaints from residents that a few persons were attempting to encroach on the land using forged documents, HYDRAA launched an inquiry and took swift action to protect the park site. Locals expressed relief that the land, part of a 1996 HUDA layout, was finally secured.
In another operation at Jillelguda village in Balapur mandal, HYDRAA removed illegal structures on 1.28 acres of government land in survey number 76. Officials said some individuals had created fake pattas and attempted to sell the land as plots. Acting on complaints, HYDRAA cleared the encroachments and installed fencing and signboards marking the land as government property.
