HYDRAA Fences 15 Acres Near Madhapur Cyber Towers

HYDERABAD: Hydraa on Wednesday fenced 15 acres of government land near Cyber Towers in Madhapur, acting on directions stemming from a High Court verdict. Officials said the land, located in survey numbers 41/12, 41/13 and 41/14 of Khanamet, is valued at about ₹3,000 crore.

The dispute centred on 15 acres of government land in Khanamet village under Serilingampally mandal of Ranga Reddy district. Ittina Properties claimed ownership of the land. In 2016, Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation officials issued notices directing the company to vacate the property.

Revenue Officials Challenge Ownership Documents

Challenging the notices, Ittina Properties approached the High Court. During the hearing, Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka examined the matter and delivered a verdict that brought the long-pending dispute to a close.

Revenue officials informed the court that there were no records showing that the government had allotted the land under the ex-servicemen quota in 1963. They also contended that the patta documents submitted by the petitioner were fabricated.

Officials pointed out that the Rajendranagar Tahsildar office was established only in 1978, raising questions about documents purportedly issued by the office in 1972 and 1973. They further stated that, under the Record of Rights Act, proceedings should be issued by the Tahsildar, whereas the documents in question were issued in the name of a Recording Officer, UDIIR, Serilingampally mandal, without clarity on the legal authority under which they were issued.

Revenue authorities also told the court that the proceedings bore the name of P. Narasimha Rao, but verification found no record of such an officer serving in that office.

The court accepted the revenue department’s contention that government land was being claimed through forged documents and directed officials to safeguard the property. Following the order, Hydraa erected fencing around the land and installed boards identifying it as government property.
