Allegations Against Telangana Foods Chairman Spark Hydraa Inquiry In Ameenpur

Hyderabad: HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath confirmed that an inquiry is underway following allegations made against M.A. Faheem, Chairman of Telangana Foods. “We are conducting an inquiry into it. Complete facts will come out in 2-3 days,” he said.

The investigation began after a letter from the Ameenpur Welfare Association went viral. The letter, addressed to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accused Faheem of harassment and extortion in Ameenpur.

According to the letter, Faheem allegedly used a demolition machine, referred to as “HYDRAA,” in the area and then demanded money from residents, claiming it was for the Chief Minister and senior Telangana ministers. Residents said that Faheem threatened further demolition if payments were not made. The letter stated that he falsely used the names of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Sridhar Babu, Damodar Raj Narasimha, Jaggareddy, Seethakka, and PCC chief Mahesh Goud to pressure the public.

“We, the local residents, are living in constant fear of further harassment,” the letter read. It urged the Chief Minister to intervene and take immediate action, citing growing public distress.

In response to the allegations, M.A. Faheem filed a complaint on April 15, 2025, at the Cyber Crimes Police Station, Basheerbagh. In his complaint, Faheem denied all accusations, stating they were defamatory and circulated with malicious intent through social media platforms, including Facebook pages “TeluguScribe” and “HAWK MEDIA HOUSE,” and X (formerly Twitter).

“These posts are clearly aimed at damaging my personal reputation and the image of Telangana Foods,” the complaint stated. Faheem urged authorities to identify those behind the posts and take legal action under the Information Technology Act and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. He assured full cooperation with the ongoing investigation. Authorities expect to clarify the facts within the next few days.
