HYDRAA secures 13 acres of government land in Nizampet

HYDERABAD: HYDRAA on Friday protected 13 acres of government land at Nizampet village in Bachupally mandal of Medchal–Malkajgiri district. The land is estimated to be worth about ₹1,300 crore.
Revenue officials flag encroachment in multiple survey numbers
Revenue officials from Bachupally mandal alerted HYDRAA that government land in survey numbers 186, 191 and 334 was being encroached upon. In their complaint, the officials said parts of the land had already fallen into illegal occupation and sought immediate protection through fencing.
Encroachments found; temporary sheds removed
Acting on the directions of HYDRAA Commissioner A V Ranganath, HYDRAA officials, along with revenue authorities, conducted a field inspection. They found that four acres of government land in survey number 334 had already been encroached upon, with permanent residential structures coming up.
Without disturbing the existing residences, HYDRAA removed temporary sheds erected on the remaining 13 acres of government land. The agency fenced the entire protected area and installed HYDRAA warning boards to prevent further encroachments.
