Hydra restores Errakunta nala in Hyderabad outskirts

HYDERABAD: Hydra has started restoring the Errakunta lake nala in Torrur village of Hayathnagar mandal, Ranga Reddy district.

Locals had complained in Prajavani that the nala connecting Errakunta to Polkammakunta had been blocked, along with the lake’s surplus channel. Following these complaints, officials conducted a field inquiry and instructed Hydra to take up restoration.

Work on the nala began on Friday. Hydra officials said a 10-metre rock formation obstructing the link between the surplus channel and the nala would be removed to enable full connection.

They added that once 300 metres of the nala is restored, the two lakes would be fully connected.
