HYDRAA Recovers 47,840 Sq Yards of Park, Road Land in Patancheru

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRA) cleared encroachments from 47,840 square yards of land meant for parks and roads in Patighanapur village of Sangareddy district.
Officials acted on a complaint filed through the Prajavani grievance system on March 23. They inspected the site on March 25 and removed the encroachments on March 26.
Layout shown as farmland to sell plots
The land is part of Anandanagar Colony, a 92-acre layout set up in 1980 with 1,109 plots. Officials said some people later showed the layout as farmland.
They allegedly got fake land passbooks issued and sold plots to others without approval.
Inspection finds encroachments on public land
HYDRA teams checked the original layout plan on the ground and found that people had occupied land meant for roads and parks.
They demolished sheds and boundary walls built with precast bricks in these areas.
Officials also put up HYDRA signboards at park sites, marked road limits, and fenced park land to stop new encroachments.
