Hyderabad’s RGIA wins ‘Best Airport’ Award in Asia-Pacific for 2024

Hyderabad: Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) Hyderabad has been recognized in the Airports Council International (ACI) World’s Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey, winning the award for ‘Best Airport in the 15 to 25 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA)’ category in the Asia-Pacific region for 2024. The airport was among over 400 participating airports worldwide.
The ASQ program is a global initiative that measures airport passenger satisfaction through real-time traveler surveys. It evaluates over 30 performance indicators, offering a detailed assessment of the passenger experience.

In 2024, over 700,000 surveys were conducted worldwide, with 181 ASQ Awards presented to 95 airports across various categories, including Best Airports by Size and Region, Most Dedicated Staff, Easiest Airport Journey, Most Enjoyable Airport, and Cleanest Airport. For arrivals, the Top Airports Globally category was also recognized.
GMR Hyderabad International Airport has a history of excellence in passenger service. It ranked among the Top 3 global airports for nine consecutive years (2009–2017), achieving the World No. 1 ranking four times (2009, 2010, 2016, and 2017) in the 5–15 MPPA category. The airport was named the ‘Best Airport by Size and Region’ in 2018 and again in 2019 and 2020 for the Asia-Pacific region. In 2022 and 2023, it earned the same title in the 15–25 MPPA category.
