Hyderabad YouTuber attacked by rowdy sheeters in Mylardevpally

Hyderabad: A YouTuber was brutally attacked by a group of rowdy sheeters in Mylardevpally, Hyderabad, on August 6 at midnight.
The victim has been identified as Mooben, a YouTuber known for exposing the criminal activities of local gangs, who was assaulted by Sohel and his associates.
According to reports, Sohel’s gang targeted Mooben with knives after the YouTuber broadcasted their crimes on his YouTube channel. The attack occurred in the middle of the night when Sohel’s gang confronted Mooben, leading to a violent confrontation.
The gang also attacked eyewitnesses who intervened to stop the assault. Following the attack, Sohel issued a threatening message to Mooben, saying, “Now you have escaped from my hand, but I will kill you eventually.” The victim is now living in fear and has appealed for protection.
Locals promptly informed Mooben’s family, and he was rushed to Osmania Hospital for emergency treatment.
The YouTuber has lodged a complaint with the Mylardevpally police, who have registered a case and launched a manhunt for the absconding accused.
Journalist associations have extended their support to Mooben and demanded strict action against the perpetrators.
Mylardevpally police are investigating the matter and have assured the public that they are taking it seriously.
In related incidents, a reporter from a Telugu regional channel was recently manhandled and detained by Osmania University police officials while covering student protests over the postponement of the District Selection Committee (DSC) notification. Videos of the incident went viral, showing the journalist with minor injuries. Senior leader KT Rama Rao has condemned the attacks on journalists under the Congress government.
Additionally, a senior photographer from a prominent national daily was attacked by an unknown individual in Neredmet on November 21, 2023. Furthermore, an independent journalist was ambushed and brutally assaulted by approximately 15 people in LB Nagar, Hyderabad, and was subsequently taken to a corporate hospital for treatment.
