Tragedy strikes in Bapatla: Two drown, two missing in canal

BAPATLA: A tragic incident occurred in Bapatla district. Six youths from Hyderabad visited Suryalanka Beach on Wednesday morning. After enjoying the beach, they headed back to Hyderabad. On their way, they stopped at the Nallamada Canal near Bapatla for a swim. The water’s depth and strong current swept one youth away. In an attempt to save him, three others were also swept away.

Police arrived promptly after receiving the information. They initiated search operations for the missing youths. They found the bodies of Sunny and Sunil. Efforts are ongoing to locate the other two, Giri and Nandu. Family members of the youths are grieving at the scene.
In above video it seems that one of missing person’s mother is urging for the safety of those who went missing in the rivulet, and rescue operations by police officers.
