Hyderabad Man Finds Worm in Online Chicken Fry Order

Hyderabad: Amid rising reports of contaminated food, a man claimed to have found a worm in the chicken fry he ordered on Swiggy, the delivery platform.

A customer named Anirudh said he placed an order with a hotel near Cyber Towers in Hitech City through the online food delivery platform. He said the order was delivered promptly, and he started enjoying his meal. Then, he noticed a worm in his food. He added that he filed a complaint with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) regarding the contaminated dish he received from a restaurant.

In a similar incident, Raghavendra Kumar visited Swati Tiffins, opposite Yashoda Hospital in Somajiguda, to eat a dosa. The tiffin centre staff cooked a fresh dosa and served it to him. As he began to eat, he noticed something unusual in his food. Upon closer inspection, he was horrified to find a cockroach. He immediately alerted the owner of the eatery. However, the management allegedly made light of the serious issue. Miffed Kumar lodged a complaint with the civic body and requested for an action against the tiffin centre.
