Hyderabad woman reported missing in Los Angeles found safe: US Police
Hyderabad: Nitheesha Kandula, a 23-year-old female student from Hyderabad, India, who went missing in Los Angeles, California, on May 28, 2024, has been traced and found safe, stated police on Tuesday.
Authorities identified Nitheesha Kandula as a student at Cal State University San Bernardino.
Chief of Police at California State University, San Bernardino, John Guttierez, confirmed the news on social media, saying, “#MissingCSUSBUpdate: The missing student identified in this bulletin, reported missing on May 28, 2024, in Los Angeles, has been located and is safe!”

According to her family in Hyderabad, Nitheesha Kandula disappeared on May 28, 2024.
Nitheesha Kandula’s disappearance sparked concern, with local authorities launching a search and urging the public for any information regarding her whereabouts.
John Guttierez, the chief of police at California State University, San Bernardino, reported that Nitheesha was last seen in Los Angeles and was reported missing on May 30.
The California State University, San Bernardino Police Department issued a report seeking information on Nitheesha’s whereabouts and any details regarding her possible vehicle, a 2021 Toyota Corolla with license plate #9KXU509.
